For a copy of our complaints procedure and cancellation form, email training@drivinglives.org.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, clients can cancel within 14 days of payment for a course.

By returning a signed Service Agreement, you accept liability for the cost of services provided.

Refunds will be processed within 14 days from the date of acceptance letter, based on the following:

  1. Within 14 days, services did not start: Full refund.
  2. Within 14 days, services started: Full refund minus provided services as per the service agreement.
  3. After 14 days but less than 1 month: 70% deduction.

Any test that is booked at DVSA test centre and subsequently cancelled by the trainee will forfeit all fees for the given test.

We may cancel active training courses/bookings for legitimate operational reasons. Cancelling a booked training course outside of the 14-day cancellation period with less than two weeks’ notice incurs the full fee. You may substitute people or defer the course at Driving Lives Group’s discretion. Remaining unbooked courses will be handled separately.

Full refunds for unstarted course elements will be given upon receipt of proof of permanent medical failure from the DVLA. Refunds will be issued where appropriate as stated above. Refund calculations are valid for four weeks.

Missed training or tests due to personal circumstances will not be reallocated and must be rebooked at the candidate’s expense. We are not liable for costs due to unforeseen circumstances, such as bad weather. Candidates should obtain relevant insurance.

Missed training due to school delays, such as truck breakdowns or instructor lateness, will be reallocated.

Chargebacks will be handled via the acquirer. Training related to the chargeback/retrieval item may be suspended or cancelled.

Trainees are responsible for ensuring compliance with Driver CPC Legislation. We advise checking eligibility and exemptions before booking a CPC course module.

Course length, timing, training basis (1:1 or 2:1), and training vehicle (automatic or manual) vary. We reserve the right to make arrangements without prior notice. Notify us if you have specific preferences.

We may change the training location or allocate multiple instructors for legitimate operational or service reasons.

We cannot guarantee course completion time frames due to fluctuating availability. HGV driving tests are split into 3A (Reverse) and 3B (Practical driving) tests. Failing the 3A test forfeits the 3B test.

Additional training costs based on instructor recommendations are the trainee’s responsibility. Courses are uniform in duration and standard, and we are not liable for extra training costs or forfeited test appointments.
