What you need to have HGV lessons in Wigan
Certain prerequisites need to be met prior to starting, but we are always open to questions from those interested in starting their HGV career at our HGV training centre. To undertake HGV Driver training, you need to be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a full UK driving licence (CAT B).
Medical – To drive an HGV, you do need to be in good physical and mental health. We can organise medical with your closest approved DVLA centre – This costs £50 – Book medical
Theory – Before moving on to the practical phase of HGV training, you must pass your theory test. We will give you all the help you need to pass first time.
Practical – Our highly experienced HGV trainers will guide you through everything you need to know. Once you’re ready, we’ll book your test.
