Who needs the periodic CPC?
All commercial drivers on the road today must have a valid CPC card. Drivers who completed their initial CPC qualification are given a card which is valid for five years.
Drivers who obtained their licence before september 2009 are given acquired rights, allowing them an additional five years before having to complete their CPC training.
After that, periodic CPC training is required in order to renew the card every five years. This training is intended to update the driver‘s professional knowledge and competency.
You are required by law to undertake a minimum of 35 hours training every 5 years. You can either complete the hours 1 day at a time or you can book all 5 days as a block.
