About ADR Training
Holding an ADR Training Certificate is a legal requirement to transport dangerous goods, and Driving Lives Training can help you get the certificate you need. Our expert instructors can provide training to help you renew your ADR certificate, ensuring you are qualified and able to transport dangerous goods.
The Course
The ADR training syllabus is divided into multiple sections; Core, Tank, Packages and classes.
CORE: Basic guidelines for transporting any type of hazardous materials in road tankers, tank containers, packages, drums, and cylinders as well as loose in bulk
TANK: For transporting any category of hazardous materials in road tankers or other tanker containers
PACKAGES: For carrying any class of dangerous goods in (sacks, drums, cylinders, cartons) and loose in bulk (skips, tipper or dust cart bodies etc)
CLASSES:
Class 1: Explosives.
Class 2: Gases; compressed, liquefied, dissolved under pressure or refrigerated.
Class 3: Flammable liquids.
Class 4: Flammable solids, substances liable to spontaneous combustion.
Class 5: Oxidising substances and organic peroxides.
Class 6: Toxic, harmful and infectious substances.
Class 7: Radioactive materials & Substances.
Class 8: Corrosives – Acids and Alkalis.
Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles, e.g. asbestos, PCBs and any substance or article not covered by the other classes.
Course length
The course length depends on your current competances with ADR, but it typically takes between 1-5 days
